Situated along the R62 wine route, the longest in the world, is the Gubas de Hoek Guest House. Gunther, the German master head-chef, and Balbina, would like to welcome you with their team, for a fine dining experience. Enjoy your evening with our three-course menu or have a real food and wine experience and try our fine dining five-course wine and dine menu, accompanied by the best wines from the Robertson Wine Valley.
We offer light, fresh, Mediterranean cuisine, pasta, wok dishes, South African and Swabian specialties, and of course a braai in the garden. Start with a cocktail or an Erdinger Weissbier and complete your menu with the excellent wines from the Robertson Wine Valley. You can expect our personal, professional attention, whether you want to enjoy an evening with friends or business partners for a food and wine experience, or a romantic dinner for two.

What you can do in the area
Get back to nature! Discover the various hiking trails in the Nature Reserves of Boesmanskloof, Dassieshoek, or Arangieskop on your own, or with Martin, our qualified guide. He will collect you at the door to explore the landscape while hiking, biking, (bikes can be rented) kloofing, or riding a horse, a quad or a 4x4 trip. Watch the stars during an evening or night walk and experience the romance of an open outdoor fire.

Late check in/out can be arranged
- Our cancellation policy automatically applies with each booking made. Minimum fee for any cancellation is ZAR 290; more then 28 days prior to booking will forfeit 10% of the total amount
- 21-28 days prior forfeit is 25% of the total amount
- 14-21 days prior forfeit is 50 of the total amount
- 7-14 days prior forfeit is 75% of the total amount
- Less than 7 days prior forfeit is 100% of the total amount.
- In the event of premature departure, the full extent of the stay, as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged.
