Lorden Lodge offers all rooms with en-suite shower/bathroom and superb views of Somerset West, False Bay, Gordon's Bay and the Strand, accommodation at it's very best.
The nine superbly appointed en-suite bedrooms all have separate external access, television, secure parking and use of the fantastic swimming pool.
A full hot and cold breakfast is served daily indoors and around the swimming pool if the weather permits.
Vintage Train Rides: Enjoy a vintage train ride up the spectacular Sir Lowry’s Pass rail route. Steam-hauled trains with Class 19D locomotives to Steenbras and diesel-hauled trains to Elgin.
Historical Sites: Dutch Reformed Church, Coachman’s Cottage, Police Station and Magistrate’s Court, Lourens River Bridge.
National Monuments: Coachman’s Cottage - Built some 140 years ago, the Coachman’s Cottage in Victoria Road is the only 1819-century cottage still in its original form in Somerset West.
Lourens River Bridge In 1844 construction began on five permanent bridges over the Lourens, Palmiet and Bot Rivers. Only the Lourens River Bridge survives, although it is not in use.
