Excellent personal service, with attention to detail, ensures a relaxed and pampered stay. We like to keep things simple, but exceptional - and we pride ourselves on our reputation for warm, world class service, and those little touches that make all the difference.
Plumwood Inn is designed for your all-year-round enjoyment, and so that each and every guest feels at home. It is a small romantic retreat situated in the historical heart of Franschhoek, offering seven rooms of different sizes in two adjacent properties.
Start your day with a sumptuous alfresco breakfast with homemade preserves, bread and other delights on the sunny garden terrace, or in our elegant lounge. Dinners are served on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
End a memorable evening with tales, while sipping on delicious wines, coffee and liqueurs.
there is no smoking in the entire Guesthouse, except on the verandahs and balconies.
Plumwood Inn is a mere 2 minute stroll from the village centre, and has a cosmopolitan atmosphere. It is the perfect base from which to explore this unique and most breathtaking region, as well as many of the Cape's celebrated wine estates, golf courses and beaches. Only 1 hour from Cape Town and 20 minutes from both Paarl and Stellenbosch, Franschhoek makes the perfect place to stay if you want to explore and enjoy the surrounding areas.

- More than 31 days before arrival, you forfeit 10% of your accommodation value
- Less than 30 days before arrival, you forfeit 50% of your accommodation value
- Less than 10 days before arrival, you forfeit 90% of your accommodation value
- There is a standard minimum charge of R100.00 on cancellations
The complete guesthouse is non smoking, if guests do smoke inside there will be a fine of R5000 for the person who is responsible for the booking.
