Somer Place B&B is the ideal spot from where you can explore Cape Town (30 mins) and the Winelands (5 mins) with the Whale Route and Garden Route starting literally on our doorstep. Cape Town International Airport is just 20 mins away, but at Somer Place B&B the country feeling of our home and garden will slow your pace to enjoy the tranquility.
This 6 bedroom and one family room guest house is managed by Armin and his team. Tourists and business people alike choose Somer Place for its serenity and simple pleasures of life. The large luscious garden and pool are enjoyed by all, while your hosts cater to your needs; such as airport transfers, day trips, car rental, restaurant bookings, golf tee times and more. The Somer Place team can serve you in English, Afrikaans and German.
All our guest rooms are en-suite, opening out onto either the pool area or their own private garden and all have a television, a telephone and coffee/tea making facilities. Dinners can be arranged and, in season, regular grills are enjoyed by everyone. Allow us to help arrange your day trips or reserve dinner at one of the excellent restaurants close by - when you have seen it all - enjoy a day around the pool with a glass of wine or something cool to drink. A cooked or continental breakfast is included in the affordable rate.
Owner Armin gives you a hearty welcome and if you let him, spoils you with a South African Braai (BBQ) under the stars. At your request, we can also arrange rental cars, laundry service, bicycles, trained tour guides, local excursions or reserve a table in one of the beautiful local restaurants and even plan small, intimate weddings.

Early check in and late check out available on request, depending on room availability.
Deposits are only refundable for cancellations at least 30 days prior to arrival. The cancellation fee is 10% of the total amount of the offer (minimum R250).
For short-term cancellations, following penalties apply:
- 14-29 Days 75% of the total amount
- 0-14 Days 100% of the total amount
